Multiple Chinese specialists,
one integrated review of your case.
Built for oncology, complex surgery, and cross-disciplinary treatment decisions. We organize your records into a case brief, match 3-6 specialists across departments, and convene a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) review -- delivering a consolidated written opinion within 5-10 business days.
Most cases start with a free pathway scan. Paid consultation only after written quote.
When MDT is the right choice.
The deciding factor isn't severity -- it's whether the decision requires multiple disciplines in the room at the same time.
Oncology decisions span multiple disciplines
Cancer care typically involves surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy -- medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology need to evaluate sequencing together.
Complex surgery requires multi-specialty judgment
Combined cardiac + pulmonary procedures, neurosurgery + interventional pathways, complex abdominal cases -- these crossover situations exceed what any single specialist can decide alone.
Conflicting opinions from current physicians
You've consulted several doctors at home and received inconsistent recommendations. You want a group of Chinese specialists to deliver a single, integrated direction together.
Recurrence or metastasis -- full re-planning needed
The initial protocol has run its course and the whole picture needs to be reassessed from the ground up. This is the most classic MDT scenario.
If your question is relatively focused on a single specialty, Single Expert ($800 flat) is usually a better fit. Your case manager will help you decide before any written quote.
What you receive from an MDT.
Not just individual remarks from each specialist -- a consolidated report that resolves into a unified recommendation.

-
02

Next Steps
A chronological checklist -- which tests to add, who to contact first, and when each decision needs to be made.
Reports are delivered as encrypted PDF to your email. All medical conclusions remain subject to confirmation by your in-person attending physician. MDT reports typically run 8-15 pages -- more detailed than a Single Expert report.
From submission to report -- about two weeks.
MDT preparation takes longer than Single Expert because coordinating multiple specialists into one discussion at the same time takes time.
Free Pathway Scan
You share basics; we reply within 1-2 business days on whether MDT is advisable.
Records Submission
We send an intake form; you return medical records, imaging, and medication history.
Case Brief Build
We compile a Chinese-language case brief and confirm the English summary with you.
Expert Match & Quote
We match 3-6 cross-department specialists and issue a per-expert service quote. Payment begins after you sign.
MDT Review & Report
30-90 min joint video MDT (you may attend if you wish). Consolidated PDF delivered within 3-5 business days.
This is the typical cadence. Because MDT requires scheduling multiple specialists, complex cases or cross-region experts may require longer coordination.
MDT · $1,000 USD per specialist.
Cumulative by number of specialists involved. A typical MDT runs 3-5 experts. No bundled packages.
USD · per expert
Most MDTs involve 3 cross-department specialists.
Typical total = $1,000 × 3 = $3,000 USD.
Complex cases may require 4-6 experts, calculated by the same formula.
What's Included Per Expert
- Records review & Chinese case brief (built once, shared across experts)
- Translation coordination
- This specialist's matching + scheduling
- This specialist's MDT participation
- This specialist's original opinion documented
- Consensus consolidation (one-time, shared)
$1,000 per expert is the all-in unit price for MDT. We don't add fees mid-process, don't surcharge for "senior" experts, and don't tell you after signing that "translation was more work, so +$200." Your case manager will state how many experts are needed and the total cost in writing before any signature.
Not included in the MDT quote: in-China hospital fees -- exams, surgery, hospitalization, medication, consumables -- billed directly by hospitals based on actual treatment. If you don't travel and only receive remote MDT, the MDT quote is your only fee.
An anonymized MDT case.
A real case archetype we've handled. All identifying information has been removed.
"I'm a breast cancer patient in Canada. After recurrence with bone metastasis was found, my local medical oncologist recommended chemotherapy first -- but a doctor friend told me surgery should come first, then chemo. I didn't know who to listen to."
Step 1. Over 7 business days, we compiled her pathology, imaging, chemotherapy records, bone scans, and genetic testing from three Canadian hospitals into a complete case brief.
Step 2. We matched 4 Chinese specialists for the MDT -- medical oncology, breast surgery, orthopedics, and radiation oncology. During the meeting, the four experts disagreed on "surgery first vs. chemotherapy first." The consolidated opinion ultimately recommended stabilizing bone metastasis with radiation first, initiating chemotherapy concurrently, and re-evaluating surgical timing at 3 months -- a sequence no single-specialty physician could have proposed independently.
Step 3. She brought the consolidated report back to discuss with her original physicians in Canada. Her medical oncologist ultimately adopted the MDT-recommended sequencing.
Boundary statement: Final treatment decisions are made jointly by the patient and their attending physician. MDT delivers an integrated professional opinion based on written records and does not replace in-person consultation.

Not sure which to pick? Send a short email describing your situation -- your case manager will recommend a tier in writing before any quote. If you start with Single Expert and later realize multi-disciplinary review is needed, you can initiate MDT separately (the $800 Single Expert fee does not transfer, because they are two independent services).
Before you sign -- the questions we hear most.
How much does an MDT cost in total? +
MDT is billed at $1,000 USD per specialist. A typical MDT involves 3 experts (total $3,000 USD); complex cases may need 4-6 experts ($4,000-$6,000 USD).
Your case manager will state in writing how many experts are needed and the total fee before any signature. No bundled packages, no mid-process surcharges, no markup for "senior" experts.
In-China hospital fees are not included in the MDT quote.
Who decides how many specialists my MDT needs? +
Your case manager proposes a number based on the disciplines your case requires, and you confirm it in writing before payment. We don't add experts unilaterally during the process -- any change requires a new written quote.
If the specialists disagree, how is that shown in the report? +
Disagreement is documented -- not hidden. Each expert's original view appears in Section 02. The MDT Consensus section records the integrated recommendation, and where opinions still diverge, the disagreement and its reasoning are kept in the report so you and your home physician can weigh it.
Do I have to attend the MDT video meeting? +
No. Attendance is your choice. Most patients prefer not to attend; the discussion happens in Chinese with our team coordinating. You receive the consolidated report afterward. If you do want to join, we'll arrange live interpretation.
Can I designate a specific specialist or hospital for the MDT? +
You can express a preference and we'll try to accommodate it, but we cannot guarantee any specific physician. Final matching depends on the specialist's availability, case fit, and willingness to participate in a remote MDT.
Can I forward the MDT report to my home physician? +
Yes. The report belongs to you. Many patients use it to discuss directions with their attending physicians at home. The report is bilingual (Chinese & English) for exactly this purpose.
Will the report contain specific medical recommendations? +
Yes -- recommendations are written by the participating specialists themselves, not by MedCareInChina staff. They reflect professional opinion based on the written record. Final diagnosis and treatment remain with your in-person attending physician.
Your next step depends on where you are.
